It all started back 2012, when I was suggested to take expert advice for an health issue. We chose Mumbai, booked our stay for 4 days (thinking about the Dr visits and test to be done) but wasn’t sure how to leave our 1yr old, as we couldn’t take him along thinking of hospitals visit. With some guilt, we left, leaving him with my in laws for the time. On the first day itself Dr told us, I need not worry, the problem is minor and eventually will get cured with some precautions. Now the guilt popped. We had 3 more days, the dilemma was should we enjoy some good time without the baby or go back to parent him. We checked with the parents, they told all of them were having fun.
And Then, we experienced ‘us’ like never before. Those little stolen moment made our bond stronger.
Ever since, we started escaping for some ‘We’ time every now and then, to relax and rejuvenate our love.
The first couple times We went away, We felt very anxious. But with time, we realised its important for children to learn that they can live without you, and that you will return.
Leaving the kids with Grandparents is a really great way to release control and embrace the pillar of learning to let go and trust, and we learned how we can empower our family to be their best selves.
Revisiting these memories is so much fun, Cheers to all the upcoming🥂
